Tsuwano Forest Energy Biomass Power Generation Plant

This is a woody biomass power generation plant built on a old stone quarry in the mountains of Tsuwano-cho, Shimane. There is a municipal chip yard built next to the power plant. The power plant is equipped with 12 extremely compact units of “Volter 40” that have 40 kW output per unit. As of completion of this building, the 12 units of “Volter 40” is the most units that were placed in a power plant in the world. This building houses the simple flat plan of power generating operation.
